Which lawn to choose in Tunisia based on your region and climate
Tunisia spans several climate zones, from a more humid north to an arid south. Choosing your lawn, and above all its care, should take this into account for a lasting result.
Tunisia's main climate zones
The north (Bizerte, Greater Tunis) enjoys a more humid Mediterranean climate, favourable to a dense lawn with moderate watering. The centre and eastern coast (Sousse, Monastir, Sfax) experience hot, dry summers requiring heavier watering. The south (Gabes and beyond) is more arid and needs increased attention to summer watering.
Our recommendations by region
- Greater Tunis and Nabeul: standard care, watering 3 to 4 times a week in summer
- Sousse, Monastir, Hammamet: daily watering in summer, early morning or evening
- Sfax, Gabes and more arid regions: daily watering essential in summer, mulching recommended
- Bizerte and northern regions: watering 2 to 3 times a week is generally enough
