Rolled lawn in Tunisia: format, laying and area calculation

What does rolled lawn look like?

Each rolled lawn slab typically measures around 40 x 60 cm to 40 x 200 cm depending on the cut, with a few millimetres of soil and roots. Once unrolled, the lawn forms a continuous green carpet, with no visible seams after a few days of rooting.

How to calculate the lawn area needed?

Before ordering, measure your plot to know how many square metres to cover:

  • Measure the length and width of each area to be lawned
  • Multiply length x width to get the area in sqm of each zone
  • Add up the areas if your garden has several distinct zones
  • Add a 5 to 10% margin for cutting and irregular edges
  • Multiply the total by 9 DT to know the price of your order

The main laying steps

  1. Weed and level the ground, remove stones and debris
  2. Enrich the soil with a little compost or fertiliser if needed
  3. Unroll the lawn slabs in a staggered pattern, without leaving gaps between them
  4. Tamp lightly with a roller or the back of a rake to ensure contact with the ground
  5. Water abundantly within hours of laying
